Al(l)a(h)rippu is an exploration of traditional Alarippu from the Bharatanatyam repertoire with a distinct Islamic sonicscape. The work is an ode to the pluralistic, secular Indian subcontinent.

The work is made possible by a grant from India Foundation of Arts' Arts Practice Programme 2021.

Unheard, Unseen

Unheard, Unseen explores the works of Makhfi, a lesser known poet in the landscape of mystical poetry. Her poems, written in the 16th century, reflect both private, devotional love and the attempt to attain union with God and be absorbed into the divine.

Ibtidaa, meaning Beginning, is envisioned as an idyllic artist residency space that encourages artistic growth and exchange.
