
Hailing from the hereditary Langha community of artists, Masoom Parmar's initial training in Bharatanatyam was under Smt. Neha Patel in Navsari, Gujarat. He received a Visharad degree in the form from Bruhad Gujarat Sangeet Samiti at Gandharva Mahavidyalaya (Ahmedabad) and is currently learning the intricacies of Bharatanatyam and nattuvangam under the guidance of Sri Kiran Subramanyam and Smt Sandhya Kiran.
Parmar also continues to train in Kathak under the world renowned Nahid Siddiqui. He also practices the Sufi traditions of the Mevlevi Order with Masters from Konya.
He was also part of "Sarjan", a Gujarati children's theater group in Navsari under Piyush Bhatt. He has acted in various plays and won a state level award for best actor for his role in the play "Ganesh Shivlal Haazir Ho".
Academically, he holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree from Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Health Sciences.
